Detention Update
Greetings to all in the name of Jesus! We give
thanks to God for His unspeakable gift! These past months have been productive,
powerful, times for RoadBlock. The Lord continues to move in our services, as we
see young people surrendering to the drawing of the Holy Spirit, and giving
their hearts to the Lord! We earnestly ask you to continue to pray for us as we
share the good news of Jesus. We have recently had children as young as 8 years
old in our services. It breaks our hearts to see these little ones under the
control of satan. Our burden for the young people that have fallen prey to the
tricks of the devil has not diminished (I Peter 5:8), and we want to acknowledge
each of you who have faithfully given to, and faithfully prayed for, this
ministry. We still believe that the power of the True and Living God can
transform these young people into what He intended them to be! (II Corinthians
5:17). Since our last newsletter we have received 500 more bibles, and we are
thankful to you for helping to make possible our providing each young person we
see with a their own bible! We are going on Wednesday and Thursday nights so the
young people hear the preaching and teaching of the Word two nights each week.
RoadBlock has been involved in several revivals in recent months, so if the Lord
leads, call us to set a date to come and share with you in person! We have
enclosed some of the testimonies and prayer requests of the kids in the juvenile
center so that you can better appreciate the situations that some of them are
facing.
Camp Update
RoadBlock will be conducting our youth camp in
June. We have reserved the 25th through the 28th, and we are looking forward to
this time of fun and fellowship with the young people. Bro. Tom Jordan will be
our guest speaker in the morning and evening services, so please be in prayer
that the Holy Spirit will move on the hearts of the people in attendance. We are
trying to set up RoadBlocks in the lives of these young people before they get
into trouble. This could possibly be the last opportunity that many of the
people at the camp have to hear the gospel, so if you keep that in mind, it will
add fervency to your prayers! We welcome you to come and join us for any of our
services during that week. If your church is interested in conducting a camp at
Camp Tuscoba, please let us know and we will send the necessary forms and
information to you. This is a good atmosphere in which to share the gospel with
young people while providing them with fun, safe, activities. Thank you again
for your continued support of RoadBlock Ministries!
